Class trips

We had a fantastic day today at the Maritime Museum in Greenwich. We learnt a lot more about the Tudor era  of travel and exploration. Thank you to all the wonderful parents who came with us.

Today we had a great time at the Keeping Gallery in Shortlands. We were shown all the excellent artwork of Charles and Renate Keeping. Charles was an illustrator and was especially famous for creating the illustrations for the poem book 'The Highwayman, which year 5 have been studying this term. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning and even got to talk to their daughter Vicky to ask her questions about her famous parents. On the way home we ran into a couple of older ladies who got talking to us about where we had been for the morning. It transpired that one of the ladies use to go to Marian Vian a long time ago so it was a nice end to our morning trip out.
