On Thursday 5th March we celebrated World Book Day. The idea for this year is to share a million stories. Well, we didn’t share a million but we did share a lot of stories today!
The morning started with a SUPERB visit from Emma, Jake’s mummy. She works for Penguin Random House. She introduced her to the story Super Duper You. It was all about how our differences make us who we are and make us special. The class created superhero masks and chose a superpower (what we are good at) and we even got to take a copy home!
After play we had a visit from 3JL! We partnered up and shared our new book Super Duper You with them. Then on the iPads we used the app ChatterPix to record what we think our superpowers are.
To finish the day, we looked at Journey by Aaron Becker. There is more on this to come!
We are super proud of Nyra and Alexa who were both prize winners in the school’s 500 word story writing competition! Nyra won first place for her beautiful illustration. Alexa was the overall first place winner for her story. Well done girls!
We will be updating this page with newsletters and notices, as well as sharing our experiences and activities throughout the year.
We expect every child to have the correct P.E. kit at school. Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday.
We hope you enjoy looking through our page and find it useful.
