1S

We finished off our topic about the 'Naughty Bus' by making our own London buses using junk modelling.

First we had to paint our boxes and then we got to add features onto them. We thought carefully about all the different things we had been learning about.

We really enjoy our creative afternoons and had lots of fun making our buses.

This week we have been learning about Harvest. Simon helped us to make some apple punch and we got to taste it at the end. Lots of us wanted more but some of us didn't like the taste! Afterwards we went to look at all the fruits and vegetables that Simon has been busy growing. We had a lovely afternoon.

This week we have been learning about 'greater than' and 'less than'. We have even been using the mathematical signs. Look at our practical work!

Welcome to 1S!

We have had a great start to Year 1 and are having lots of fun smiley

Mrs Rathbone found a present in our corridor and brought it in. We were so excited! We had to try and guess what it was. It was a toy bus! We decided to write letters to the bus and are learning lots of new things about buses and London.

In Maths, we have be practising how to sort objects and explaining our answers. We've had some brilliant ideas. Look at how well we did...
